How Custom pricing works
What sets the price
Three things: how many doctors you schedule, how many sites you cover, and how complex your rules are. We learn all three in one conversation. Then we send you a quote.
What the setup fee covers
We meet your scheduler and write your rules down. Cardiac requirements, weekend pairings, partner exclusions, a vacation glide path, etc. We then build a solver around those rules and generate your first live schedule. Most groups see that first live schedule in about two weeks.
What the monthly fee covers
Hosting, and a person who tunes the draft every month as your rules change. When a draft looks wrong, submit a ticket or text/call Moultrie, the founder. Whatever is easiest for you.
The guarantee
You approve the first live schedule before you pay. If it cannot replace your spreadsheet, we do not invoice the pilot. Either side can leave with thirty days' written notice, and your administrator can ask for an export at any time.
We take on no more than two new Custom groups a month, so Moultrie can learn each one.

“Scheduling used to involve two partners working nights and weekends with pencil, paper and Excel. Now, I can knock it out in minutes from my phone.”
Our first customer, a 25 person group, has built its monthly call schedule in PostCallMD every month since November 2025. Read the case study.
Questions
- Is Free really free? For how long?
Yes, with no trial clock and no card. A group can use Free for years and never pay us. That is a good outcome for us. Custom is for groups that want to give their scheduler a break by letting us automate their scheduling process.
- What happens when I press Generate in the app?
Generating a draft in the app is part of Custom, because the solver behind it is built around your rules. On Free, you build the schedule by hand or with your own agent, then publish it.
- What counts as one organization? We are a management company.
One account covers one organization: one practice, with all of its sites and clinicians. If you run several practices, talk to us before you open several accounts.
- Is there a cap on clinicians or sites?
No. Free has no cap on sites or clinicians. On Custom, the number of doctors and sites does affect the price. It is not a limit.
- Can my own agent or Claude Code work with it?
Yes. The solver is open source under MIT, there are API keys and MCP server for ease of use. Your agent can run it against your rules and give you a draft to edit. The app also has an MCP server and API keys, so your agent can read your practice and write a draft into it.
- Can we use it alongside QGenda?
Yes. Build, review and edit the schedule in PostCallMD. Then publish it there, or move the finished schedule into QGenda.
- What does the setup fee cover?
Rule capture with Moultrie, the solver built around your rules, and your first live schedule. You approve that schedule before you pay.
- How do we pay?
By invoice. The quote sets the setup fee and the monthly fee after one conversation, before any build work starts.
- What if the first schedule is wrong?
Then we iterate, or you decide it’s not for you. You lose the hours, not the money.
- How do we leave?
Give thirty days' written notice. Ask your administrator to request a data export first. There is no multi-year contract and no exit fee.
- What about PHI and a BAA?
A call schedule holds no patient information. It is names, dates, sites and assignments. Email request parsing is the one place a model reads your text, and an administrator reviews each parsed request. If you want a Business Associate Agreement, we will sign one. The privacy policy names our service providers.
- What happens if PostCallMD winds down?
The solver stays public under MIT. If PostCallMD closes without a successor, active customers get the production scheduling code for their group, with a perpetual, royalty-free license.
- Who is Custom not for?
Hospital-wide OR scheduling. Groups larger than about fifty clinicians. Groups whose current process works fine. If your spreadsheet still does the job, Free may be all you need.
